Scientology Volunteer Ministers come to the rescue of an apartment building
Truckloads of ice Hit hard with power outages, many North Greenwood residents had been in the heat for days without a break. VMs passed out 1,500 bags of ice in one afternoon.

BRINGING RELIEF

Keeping It Cool

No Florida storm ever impacted every area of the state like cruel Irma did. Flooding and knocking out trees from one end of the state to the other, Irma spread her 400-mile-wide swath all over Pinellas where 78 percent of the households lost power. No neighborhood was left untouched. VMs distributed bags of ice to the North Greenwood neighborhood the day after the storm. Next, VMs went door to door with ice and water. Reaching out to Tennessee to locate supplies, VMs continued the distribution to 4,000 neighboring homes in North Greenwood and East Gateway until power was fully restored.
